Officially Probable

Last month I was officially probable
And then out indefinitely
World kept spinning.

I was doubtful for a time
And then week-to-week
World kept spinning.

I was highly questioning and questionable
Then listed as day-to-day
World kept spinning

I was a game-time decision
And then decided to sit out the season
World kept spinning

I was active
And then became entirely passive
World kept spinning

I was out of action for weeks
And then thrown into the fire
World kept spinning

There is no perfect health
Only the truth of our mortal souls
Wandering around on this pale blue dot
One sunrise and one sunset

Then night.

Daylight Shortens

Here at the end of November
Light dwindles daily
Sitting on bench surrounding sun
Less than 10 hours today
Semicircular arc…
