As long as you have no memory

As long as you have no needs

As long as you never have to go anywhere

As long as you have no other obligations

As long as you have boundless patience

As long as you never get sick

As long as you always get great sleep

As long as you have support nearby

As long as your child sleeps soundly

As long as your child eats everything

As long as your child uses their words

As long as the dogs never bark or bring the outside in

As long as you enjoy picking up, cleaning up, and washing up

As long as you have no financial worries

As long as your own childhood was calm and connected

As long as every member of your family is always supportive

As long as your childhood was filled with trust and cooperation

As long as you ignore the fact that you have other relationships

Parenting is not easy

But without any children…

Many never grow up
